Exactly what is AccuCover?
AccuCover is quite simply a quality scope cover with the addition of patented high visibility markings on the rim of the scope cover. This unique patented design will help you shoot both faster and more accurately and helps prevent cant and eliminates parallax error.

What is parallax error?
Parallax is the apparent movement of the crosshairs, in relation to a target, when the eye moves off-centre to the sight. AccuCover provides a quick and easy way to centralise the eye to the sight picture, eliminating any parallax error.
Parallax error is likely to occur when a scope is not pre-focused (parallax adjusted) to a specific shooting distance. Most scope brands do not have a parallax adjustment but are pre-set at the factory to be parallax free at 100 yards. Rimfire rifles and shotgun scopes are set at/or around 50 yards whilst air rifles are set at around 30 yards. Parallax error occurs when the eye is not centralised and shooting distances are smaller or larger than these specified distances.

What is Cant error?
Cant error is also known as “false wind”. This is the phenomenon of a bullet apparently being blown off target.
This actually occurs when holding a firearm without the scope being precisely aligned above the rifle bore axis. In this instance, gravity will force a sideways movement of the bullet. This sideways movement is known as cant error.
Cant error increases through:
a) greater shooting distances
b) lower bullet velocities
Holding the firearm in a perpendicular manner will eliminate cant error irrespective of distance and velocity. This is where AccuCover helps.

AccuCover prevents cant and eliminates parallax errors. Are there any other benefits?
Field trials have resulted in many users finding it helps speed up target acquisition and improve accuracy, particularly in poor lighting conditions.

How do I find the correct size AccuCover for my scope?
Accucover comes in 3 different sizes. For full details of which size is suitable for your scope please visit the sizing page.

How do I correctly fit the AccuCover to my scope?
Fitting your AccuCover is simple. Slide the AccuCover onto the riflescope end and rotate to ensure the yellow markings line-up exactly with the ends of the crosshairs. That’s it!

My scope does not have a crosshair reticule (red dot). Will the AccuCover work with my scope?
Yes. So long as the AccuCover is fitted correctly with the pointers aligned to the rifle bore axis it will provide an excellent indication of rifle canting. AccuCover will also help speed eye alignment with the riflescope end .

The yellow markings appear out of focus when I look through my riflescope.
The yellow markers (Indicia) will always appear out of focus at correct viewing distances because of their closeness to the eye. This does not affect AccuCover’s efficiency. However, any slight eye movement or gun tilting will become very apparent.
AccuCover will immediately make apparent any small movement of the eye away from the central axis of the scope– and therefore parallax can be prevented. Likewise, slight tilting of the rifle also becomes apparent and can be corrected. It is the correcting of this tilt that prevents Cant error.
